Donald Trump’s reaction to seeing Joe Rogan at UFC 309 is going viral as pair have ‘lengthy conversation’

US president-elect Trump attended UFC 309 alongside Elon Musk, Kid Rock and Mike Johnson.

President-elect Donald Trump engaged in a ‘lengthy conversation’ with Joe Rogan, just moments after he walked into Madison Square Garden alongside Elon Musk and Dana White for UFC 309.

MMA enthusiast Trump, who recently won the 2024 US presidential election campaign against vice-president Kamala Harris, has attended numerous events in the past.

And on Saturday night, the 78-year-old received a rapturous reception from fight fans in New York City as he was flanked by House of Representatives speaker Mike Johnson, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and soon-to-be secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Trump made his way to the front row and, after performing some signature dance moves to campaign song ‘YMCA’, he bumped into UFC commentator and popular podcast host Joe Rogan.

As you can see in the footage below, the president-elect pointed at Rogan before opening his arms in typical fashion. The pair then engaged in conversation after a big hug.

Here’s how fans on social media reacted to the moment.

One said: “He knows Joe didn’t have to endorse him. Joe really helped Trump,” while another wrote: “I can’t love this enough. Rogan like a true man stepped up and did something great for the good of the country. Good job Joe.”

A third commented: “I don’t think Rogan expected it. Love this!!!”

A fourth wrote: “Joe Rogan provided what many consider a pivotal endorsement of the president-elect for independent voters,” and a fifth added: “Trump just shook Rogan’s hand at UFC and I’ve never seen Joe this happy before.”

Earlier this month, UFC fighter Michael Chandler revealed the promise that Donald Trump made to him before his win in the US presidential election.

handler will make his much-anticipated return to the octagon against former lightweight champions Charles Oliveira at UFC 309.

And ahead of the fight, he said Trump promised him that he would attend the bout should he be victorious in his bid to once again become president.

Chandler told TMZ Sports: “He (Trump) said, ‘I’ll either be there on Nov. 16 because we won the election, or if I lost, I’ll be depressed and I won’t show up.’ Obviously, he won the election, so it sounds like he’s going to be there.

“I will have the American flag on my person, and it’ll be an honour to go out there, get my hand raised, at the world’s most iconic arena, in front of our president-elect. It’s going to be a good night at Madison Square Garden.”
